Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has told other Kalenjin
leaders that he will deal with Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter.
The rebel Jubilee MP has openly differed with Deputy
President William Samoei Ruto over different issues.
Keter has been campaigning against Ruto with his latest move
demanding for the investigation of the leader over maize scandal.
The rebel Jubilee MPs Keter, Joshua Kuttuny (Cherangany) and
Silas Tiren (Moiben) are drumming up support for Baringo Senator Gideon Moi who
is eying for the presidential seat.
Speaking in harambee on Friday in Ainapngetuny in Nandi
Hills, Mandago asked Kalenjin leaders not to reprimand Keter but allow him
(Mandago) to dialogue with him.
“I had told him that we wanted to talk over the issues he
has been raising about the DP.Leave him to me and I am going to talk so that we
can have him back. This is the time that we need everybody as we prepare for
the 2022 contest,”Mandago said.
“I am hopeful that Keter will come back and support the
DP.Let us dialogue with him,” He added.
Nandi Governor Stephen Sang said Kalenjin leaders should
unite ahead of 2022 elections.
He said Ruto is the next president after Uhuru Kenyatta
adding that most Kenyans are supporting him.
“We as leaders from the region should unite ahead of the
2022 elections. Let no one cheat you that we have another candidate who is
strong like Ruto.We will stand with Ruto,”He said.
