Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has lost his close ally to DP William Ruto as realignment ahead of 2022 campaigns hots up.

Ruto and Gideon are both interested in the country's top seat and they are flexing their  political muscle ahead of the elections.

Bii who has severally and unsuccessfully vied for a political seat in Uasin Gishu said he is now supporting Ruto.

He vied against Ruto for the defunct Eldoret North constituency seat and in the last two elections he lost to former MP Edwin Barchilei (2013) and incumbent Caleb Kositany (2017).

"The electorate has been fronting my candidature but I have been asking where do I go wrong that I have never won any seat,"Bii said.

"But I have realised that people are supporting me but it is this Jogoo (KANU) that has a problem.I have now left the cockerel and join Ruto.We will support him on his quest to be Kenya's next president,"Bii added.

Elections in Kenya are won along the party lines.Whoever wins the popular party's ticket  in most cases automatically ascends to power.

Jubilee which is the ruling party won many seats in the previous elections.
