Sacked KVDA boss Kimosop opens up on dams scandal, reveals powerful forces behind his ouster
Sacked Kerio Valley Development Authority MD David Kimosop has opened up over the dams scandal.
Kimosop was sacked on Wednesday by the board and it is reported that he walked out of the board meeting upon realising their intention to sack him.
The embattled outgoing MD Kimosop was previously summoned by the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) over the Arror and Kimwarer dams scandal in which the country allegedly lost Ksh.21 billion.
The board, in a statement to the press Thursday evening, appointed Francis Kipkech to take over the mantle in an interim position until a new MD is selected.
Mr. Kipkech was, until his new appointment, serving as Mr. Kimosop’s deputy Managing Director.
However while speaking,Kimosop said his ouster was due to pressure from a powerful force in the country.
"I was under pressure to resign from powerful individuals. My ouster is unprocedural,"He said.
Kimosop was sacked only three months into his term extension at the helm of KVDA.
