Drama in court as CS Chelugui aide Kiborek is charged

There was a drama in court as Reuben Kiborek a Personal Assistant to Water and Irrigation Cabinet  Secretary Simon Chelugui was charged.

Kiborek was charged  with committing an indecent act with a 16-year-old girl.Kiborek was arraigned before a Nakuru court on Thursday, December 27, where he faced two sexual offences charges of defilement and committing an indecent act with a minor

According to the charge sheet seen by TUKO.co.ke, Kiborek was accused of committing the offences in Nakuru's high end Sarova Woodlands Hotel on Sunday, December 23.

"Reuben Kiborek Kipng'ok on Sunday, December 23, at Sarova Woodlands hotel in Nakuru East, Nakuru county intentionally and unlawfully committed an indecent act with EJK a child aged 16 years," read part of the charge.

The accused denied the charges before Nakuru Law Courts Senior Resident Magistrate Yvonne Khatambi and pleaded for lenient bail out terms.

The magistrate slapped him with a KSh 300,000 bond with similar amount surety with an alternative KSh 300, 000 cash bail.

The drama ensued at the court when Kiborek was brought in but  his relatives guarded him from the eyes of curious members of the public at the court premises.

The public demanded to see him.Journalists were also barred from entering the court as two of them were injured by his followers.The matter will be mentioned Friday, January 18.
