Political showdown expected at Ruto-Raila meeting

Political showdown is expected when Deputy President William Ruto and former premier Raila Odinga meet on Friday.

The two are expected to share podium in Borabu during the burial of Mama Peninah Osero, mother to veteran politician Patrick Osero.

Osero is a close ally of Ruto and Raila. Jubilee and ODM politics may take centre stage owing to the current handshake and 2022 succession politics debate.

Leaders from the region North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko, a close ally of DP Ruto and  ODM treasurer Timothy Bosire have been clashing over DP's visit to the region.

Nyamoko is campaigning for Ruto but Bosire is opposed to the idea.
