MP Mishra warns of 2022 succession politics
Kesses member of parliament Swarup Mishra has warned politicians against early 2022 succession politics.
He says such early campaigns polarize the country and raises political temperatures.
"It is too early to do politics, it's time for development and the best politics is development and nothing else, " said Mishra.
Mishra reiterated that politicians should concentrate on development and be the best servants to the electorates by helping them improve their livelihoods.
The Kesses legislator was speaking at the constituency headquarters when he met security officers from his constituency on Tusday.
"As far as 2022 politics is concerned God and people of Kenya will decide and no individual whatsoever will decide who be the president or who will be the leader of the country," added Mishra.
He, further urged the government through the Ministry of interior to remunerate police officers well to help reduce corruption and improve security.
He noted that if a criminal is richer that a security officer corruption and insecurity all over the country will be the order of the day.
