The appointment of CS Fred Matiang'i as the supervisor of all government projects, there were jitters in Jubilee that President Uhuru Kenyatta has reduced DP William Ruto's power.

It was seen as a demotion of the DP who has been moving round the country launching projects.

The elevation of Matiang'i according to analysts was meant to relieve Ruto of duties so as to concentrate on his 2022 political agenda.

Matiang'i who is the chair National Development Implementation and Communication Cabinet Committee is being deputised by Treasury CS Henry Rotich.
