Deputy President William Ruto could have identified a new political party which he will use as an alternative to Jubilee in 2022 polls.
According to Nation ,the party will be used in case of a rebellion within Jubilee intensifies.
For months now, Dr Ruto is fighting internal wrangles within Jubilee, which have seen the party divided into Tanga Tanga team and Kieleweke.
While Tanga Tanga supports his 2022 bid, Kieleweke, which is under nominated MP Maina Kamanda, leans towards President Uhuru Kenyatta and has been accusing Dr Ruto of sabotaging service delivery.
Early this year, in an indication that Jubilee could split further, David Murathe, an ally of President Uhuru Kenyatta, dismissed Dr Ruto's presidential ambitions.
Although he resigned, Murathe was never rebuked by President Uhuru Kenyatta and continues to enjoy good relationship with the Head of State.
Recently Uhuru indicated that he might not support DP for the seat if his speech that God knows the who will be the president is anything to go by.
