What Isaac Ruto told Raila in a meeting yesterday
Former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto paid ODM leader Raila Odinga a courtesy call at Capitol Hill offices, the first ever meeting between the duo since 2017 polls.
Mr Ruto, who served as a minister and Chepalungu MP as well, was accompanied by a host of leaders from South Rift among them former ministers Franklin Bett, Paul Sang and Zakayo Cheruiyot.
Details about the agenda of the meeting remain scanty but a source at Capitol Hill says 'unity, peace and BBI' featured throughout the meeting.
"The most important thing is Building Bridges Initiative and peace. That's what was discussed. Of politics, I cannot authoritatively comment about it," he said.
The ODM party, through official Twitter account, did not also divulge into the issues, only giving a mere update about the visit by the leaders.
"H.E. @RailaOdinga today held a meeting with Leaders from Bomet and Kericho counties led by former Governor Isaac Ruto at Capitol Hill Square. The leaders included formed Cabinet Ministers @HonFranklinBett and Paul Sang as well as former MP Zakayo Cheruiyot," read the tweet.
After losing to the late Joyce Laboso in 2017 polls, Mr Ruto joined President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto's camp despite Raila Odinga having won at Supreme court.Hivisasa.com
