MTRH treats children with Christmas surprise
Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital hosted a special early Christmas for children at the shoe for Africa children's hospital
Led by the hospital CEO Dr Wilson K Aruasa the hospital donated foodstuffs to children undergoing treatment at the hospital.
"It's Christmas season let's extend our hands to the less fortunate in the society during this festive season," said Dr. Aruasa.
He wished the patients quick recovery and reiterated the hospital commitment of ensuring that patients get quality healthcare.
Dr Aruasa thanked the Shoe4Africa Foundation through its CEO Toby Tanser for sponsoring the establishment of the only Public Children’s Hospital in Eastern and Central Africa.
He said Shoe 4Africa is a Centre of Excellence that guarantees children in this region quality medical care.
The hospital CEO said the hospital does not have enough space to cater for the increasing number of children patients.
"Despite the hospital having the capacity to admitted only 160 children,the hospital now serves patient from Riftvalley,Western,Nyanza South Sudan and Uganda leading to overstretched facilities," added Dr. Aruasa.
