MTRH Launches New 630 KVA Automatic Voltage Stabilizer
Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital(MTRH) has lauched a new 630 Automatic Voltage Stabilizer (KVA) for the Hospital.
Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Wilson Aruasa said the stabilizer will deliver constant Power Voltage regardless of the changes in the incoming supply Voltage from the Main Power Grid.
“This is meant to protect the Hospital’s equipment from damage as a result of power flactuations and power outages”, he said.
Dr. Aruasa reiterated that voltage stability and accuracy more often than not, determines the correct operation of medical equipment and the administration is committed to ensuring that power stability is achieved in crucial service areas in the Hospital.
"MTRH has invested heavily in ensuring uninterrupted power supply at all times, even at times of outage of power from the mains. This is because power is required in most life-saving patient care procedures," added MTRH boss.
The new Automatic Voltage Stabilizer unit will serve the Intensive Care Unit, Hospital Operating Theatres, Radiology, main Laboratory, Surgical inpatient wards, Private Wing I and the Main Hospital.
The unit has a lifespan of 20 years.
