Stop this bias in corruption purge-Hon Osca Sudi

*STATEMENT ON ONGOING CORRUPTION PURGE BY HON. OSCAR KIPCHUMBA SUDI M.P KAPSERET CONSTITUENCY*_

I wish to categorically state that I am fully behind the fight against graft,as the President and his Deputy have shown commitment in the fight against the vice.

I am also on record to have shown support of the March 9 handshake between the President Uhuru Kenyatta and Rt. Hon Raila Odinga, this is because I am a leader who believes in unity of purpose. We all needed the handshake to foster unity and inclusivity among all Kenyans.

However, the handshake should not be used by a few to preach politics of division especially within our party jubilee. What is currently happening in Kalenjin nation is more or less what befell the community 15 years ago in 2003 when public servants from our community were demoted,retrenched and declared redundant maliciously. The current corruption purge should be purely objective and free from bias like we've seen recently. With the current trend of these arrests and investigations someone can easily tell that Kalenjin community is targeted. The sole reason for this is to taint the community's image as corrupt people simply because their son William Ruto wants to be Kenya's 5th President.

I want to ask the architects of all these to be clear on their agenda, we cannot allow to sacrifice careers of our sons and daughters just because of William Ruto's ambitions. They can go ahead and arrest Deputy President if they so dare!.

We understand the NHIF case was just a decoy placed before the real target Kenya Pipeline Company case was embarked on. And we have information that the next on line is KVDA case. Why all this drama?,,, Just because of 2022 politics?

I also want to challenge DCI boss George Kinoti to investigate the Multibillion Medical Equipment lease that has seen County governments paying up to 95 Million shillings annually, the monies involved in the contract have been scanty and the figures have been changing. The companies involved in these contracts should be investigated, once Kinoti is done with this one. I will personally add him four other major scandals that Kenyans need to know. I ask him to do his work diligently and objectively and to never allow his office to be used to settle political scores.

Our sons and daughters working in various state cooperations are now working in fear and agony due to the current purge on corruption. Their families are traumatized by these arrests and embarrassments.

I want to request the President; has he forgotten the covenant that the Kalenjin nation made with the GEMA nation in 2013? We agreed to bury the hatchet and forge a unity deal among the communities with sole intention of transforming our country. But it seems the President has forgotten all this including the votes the Kalenjin nation overwhelmingly voted for him in 2002,2013,2017A & 2017B.

My President *Uhuru Kenyatta* how does it feel when the children and families of these innocent sons and daughters of Kalenjin are going through all these?... This is inhuman and unacceptable and personally I condemn these biased arrests.

I pray for you Mr. President that may God open your eyes and pour wisdom on you on handling this critical issue. These acts are pure witch hunt, sacrificial and uncalled for and must be condemned with strongest terms possible.
