Mandago on Moi University staff

Uasin Gishu Governor H.E Jackson Mandago EGH has urged Moi University to consider absorbing all the casual workers who have been working for over ten years at the institution into permanent terms.

The Governor also challenged the university to expand on agricultural practices noting that the institution had been allocated money to expand on agriculture.

Mandago further asked the national government to allocate finances fairly to all government universities regretting that Moi University has not received Ministry's allocation for the last eight years.

Speaking during the burial of Jonathan Katam in Kibabet, Kapseret Sub county on Friday, Mandago also urged the university to have regular meetings with the local community to boost a good relationship with them.

The Moi University security guard was killed by alleged thugs on Christmass night.

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi who was also present noted that the university has over 3,000 acres hence there was no need of opening more campuses.

CEC Finance CPA Julius Ruto, CEC ICT and Trade Dr. Emily Kogos and Chair Public Service Board Joseph Tanui were in attendance.
