Kenyans have been left speculating over the friendship of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto following events that unfolded over the weekend.

The handshake between Raila Odinga and Uhuru seem to have sidelined Ruto.

Two events involving Uhuru and Ruto happened over the weekend that left Kenyans wondering whether Uhuru is avoiding Ruto.

During the installation of Philip Anyolo as Archbishop of Kisumu, Ruto was the chief guest.He gifted the new Archbishop with a brand car which he announced was from him and Uhuru.

And despite being president's principal assistant, Cabinet Secretary for Defense Rachael Omamo delivered president's speech.

On Sunday during the inauguration of Our Lady of Rosary Catholic Church Ridgeways into full parish, Uhuru spoke before Ruto and left earlier.

He didn't recognize Ruto in his speech or call him to speak before he could talk as the chief guest.

Uhuru left and some of the MPs who accompanied him left too but Ruto remained until the service ended.

In his speech he called for Unity of Kenyans saying he was determined to see a united country.
