Ambassador Bitok sends new message to Osca Sudi over 2022 politics
Kenyan ambassador to Pakistan Julius Bitok has send a new message to Kapseret MP Osca Sudi over 2022 elections.
Bitok who unsuccessfully vied for Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat in 2013 said North Rift region should remain united and rally behind the DP William Ruto.
Bitok while speaking at Kimalel in the county decried disunity amongst leaders from the region.
"It is sad that other parts of the county are standing with William Ruto to become the next president 2022 while at his home tuff in Rift Valley politicians are divided where others are for while others against him. How do you expect other people to support him if his own people are divided," said Bitok.
Cherangany MP Joshua Kuttuny, Alfred Keter (Nandi Hills), Sila Tiren (Moiben), Governor Alex Tolgos among others have broken ranks with DP.
The leaders have been opposing Ruto's bid for 2022 presidency citing different reasons amongst them frustrations from the camp.
According to Bitok ,such divisions being witnessed might deny the Deputy President the presidency.
He tasked Kapseret legislator Sudi to unite leaders and forge ahead.
"I call upon the Kapseret legislator to bring all the leaders from the region together and call Bishop to pray for them so that this nonsense of division be a thing of the past. We are tired of some leaders openly attacking the deputy president who is our leader and preferred presidential candidate," added Bitok.
However Sudi in a past function revealed that they had held talks with the leaders but they have refused to heed to their unity call.
