Cabinet Secretary shocks Ruto in his quest to succeed president Uhuru

A Cabinet Secretary as shocked Deputy President William Ruto in his quest to succeed president Uhuru Kenyatta.

With the raging debate  on whether Mt.Kenya region will support Ruto in 2022 elections or not, one CS has confirmed it.

This comes as Agriculture CS Mwangi Kiunjuri declared that he was the suitable candidate for the deputy president’s post.

“2022 elections will be here soon and we need to be prepared. Some have tried to soil my name before the President but my work speaks for itself,” said the CS.

A month ago, the former Laikipia East MP announced that Mt Kenya’s pledge to support Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 bid was still intact.

Speaking in Laikipia and Nyeri counties where he distributed avocado seedlings to farmers, Kiunjuri said he would not vie for Laikipia governorship in the next elections.

“We are telling Dr Ruto that if we (Jubilee Party) are giving him the presidential candidacy, the DP’s position should be reserved for CS Kiunjuri,” said.

This is seen as a big boost to Ruto in his political career.
