Why Ruto snubbed Raila in front of Uhuru

Deputy President William Ruto on Friday snubbed former premier Raila Odinga in front of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The handshake brought together Uhuru and Raila and they have been working together.
Their newfound working relationship has seen Ruti being 'sidelined' in some of the top government undertakings.
This is said to be an attempt by Raila trying to tame Ruto's influence in government.
Despite the handshake, Ruto didn't give an opportunity to Raila to address the crowed during the Madaraka Day Celebrations in Narok.

During the speeches, Dr Ruto, despite recognising Raila's presence, did not invite him to address the people.
"Tuko na viongozi wengi sana, na hawezi ongea wote. Acha nimwalike mheshimiwa rais," he said. (We have many leaders here and they can't all address you. Let me invite the president)," said Ruto.
In previous national celebrations, Mr Odinga has often been invited to briefly address the people.
Sources indicate that national celebrations is a preserve of the president and his deputy hence the only dignitaries allowed to address the nation.
Other politicians are only recognised at the event and are not suppose to speak.
After the incident, Raila and his team left the stadium dejected though he had stole the show through simulations and excitement from the crowed.
This might not go well with ODM politicians who have been critics of Ruto.
