Sudi hit out at Mbadi over church donations and harambees
Kapseret member of parliament Oscar Sudi has hit out at the leader of minority in the National Assembly John Mbadi for pushing for the constitution amendment to ban public officers from contributing over Sh 100,000 in funds drive.
According to Mbadi public officers who spend more than Sh100,000 in a funds drive will have to notify the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission of the source of the funds.
But speaking speaking in ACK Malel(Pioneer) during the 36th Anniversary of ACK Diocese of Eldoret and the fundraising to construct church estate on Sunday Sudi termed the move as ill intended.
"I read malice on this move of blocking us from giving buy no matter what we won't stop since we know the importance of giving," said the Kapseret second term legislator.
Sudi reitriated that if opposition leaders do not want to give they should not block those with a heart of giving.
"I urge John Mbadi and his leader Raila Odinga who don't believe in God and giving to leave us alone since they have slot of money and we have never seen them even a single day helping to build churches through harambees," he said.
The leader of minority's move is seen as a move to block Deputy President William Ruto and his allies from giving money in Harambees with his critics demanding that the group makes full disclosure of their source of funds.
