Fuel prices expected to go up. |
During his report presentation to the National Dialogue Committee on November 6, CS Chirchir attributed this potential price hike to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
He explained that if the international fuel prices rise to $150 due to the conflict, it could lead to a local increase of petrol prices up to Sh300 per liter at the pump.
However, he expressed hope that such a situation can be avoided.
In the most recent petroleum price review in October, the cost of fuel had already risen to Sh217 per liter of petrol
