REVEALED:Top names settled to be picked as next Deputy President to succeed Gachagua

Politicians from Mt. Kenya region have started jostling for the position of the Deputy President should the Senate upholds impeachment of Rigathi Gachagua by the National Assembly.

 

The President William Ruto will pick his deputy from Mt.Kenya region should the process to remove Gachagua from office succeeds.

 

Sources indicate that bigwigs political figures from the two regions of Mt Kenya East and West who are eyeing the seat are currently engaged in strategic manoeuvres behind the scenes to position themselves favourably as the debate around the DP’s future intensifies.

 

Some of the politicians who have been fronted as replacement for impeached DP includes the Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki, National Assembly Majority leader Kimani Ichung’wah, Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, Mwangi Kiunjuri (Laikipia East MP) and Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro

 

Many have been speculating that the next DP will a woman citing Ruto’s previous remarks that women of Kenya deserve the position.

 

Sources indicate that those in the race have been in a series of secret meetings with their allies to strategize.
