DP Ruto sends message to motorists this festive season
Deputy President Dr. William Ruto has urged motorists to be cautious during this festive season.
He said many people have lost their lives during to overspeeding and wreckless driving
Speaking during a prayer service at Kipsangui Girls High School in Soy, Uasin Gishu County on Sunday, Dr Ruto said this will help reduce road accidents witnessed during Christmas season.
"Let's be cautious and drive safely putting in mind that you are carrying people, we don't want anyone to lose life or get injured," said Dr. Ruto.
"Motorists should drive cautiously and shun high speeds to minimise accidents as they travel to different parts of the country," added the deputy president.
Dr Ruto called upon the traffic police to enforce the traffic laws to minimize loss of lives through road accidents
Chief Justice David Maraga and his wife were the latest prominent persons to be affected by the wave of accidents witnessed in December.
