MP Kositany want parliament to probe new curriculum gaps those responsible punished
Soy Member of Parliament Caleb Kositany want the Ministry of Education to implement the new curriculum as planned.
Earlier Education CS Amina Mohammed had announced the postponement of its implementation but rescinded the decision.
Speaking to the press in Eldoret town Kositany said those who were mandated to oversee the implementation of the new curriculum slept on their job.
“We cannot be at the last minute when we are about to start implementation and realize that there are so many gaps, somebody slept on the job, somebody used his influence to try and push something,” said the Jubilee Member of Parliament.
Kositany said that once parliament will be reconvened they will interrogate all those involved for failing to give the right advice to the executive concerning the implementation of the new curriculum.
“We want to follow it to the last day and we want to know exactly who will be held responsible. This one we shall even ask the speaker to have a committee of the entire assembly where the entire parliament will come and interrogate whoever was involved and we want to find out really what happened,” he added.
