Mt.Kenya politician dumps Ruto

Kirinyaga governor Ann Waiguru  may  have decamped from Deputy President William Ruto team if her statement is anything to go by.

 Waiguru has been a key figure in Ruto's team, organising functions at Mt Kenya in which DP Ruto has been a regular visitor.

It was at one time said that she was warming up to his deputy in 2022.

But on Thursday, Waiguru led a team of women in castigating early campaigns that have been perpetuated by Ruto's team against the blessings of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

"We cannot be in electioneering mood all the time. This is the time we should all be working for the people who elected us. Early campaigns are distracting development and we call upon this moving around the country to stop.

"The Building Bridges Initiative must also be embraced. The president and Raila Odinga decided to work together for prosperity of this nation. This is what we must embrace."

She cautioned Ruto's allies against disrespecting the president.
