Ruto chairs a crisis meeting

As tension continue pilling up in Jubilee, Deputy President William Ruto has hosted a crisis meeting. 

Ruto chaired the crisis meeting on Thursday with reports indicating that it was a Multi-Agency Committee on Food Security.

The meeting came in the backdrop of a statement he made on Tuesday, where he posted a tweet in support of the president, but has since avoided political talk even as his trusted allies continued to defend his 2022 campaign.

Health Cabinet Secretary, Sicily Kariuki, a close ally of President Uhuru was also present in the Karen meeting. 

During the whole meeting, it is reported that Ruto was focused and appeared unbowed by the heated political environment.

Some of the Mt.Kenya politicians have accused him of using his allies in trying to undermine Uhuru and Raila unity.
